Well, presumably one requires the other.<\/span><\/p>\n Both the battery manufacturer and the manufacturer of the end product in which the batteries are installed must take precautions to ensure safe storage. Risk of fire and explosion. Not only for this reason, but also to ensure quality and service life, batteries that have not yet been installed are often stored outdoors.
